Jack Waterworth

Joiner

Jack WaterworthJack joined Harry Fairclough in 2008, 2 years into a joinery apprenticeship. His previous employer didn’t have enough work to keep him busy and he was often asked to complete tasks that would not enable him to complete his ‘work based record’ at college.

In early 2008, Warrington Collegiate contacted our Training Manager, Dawn Waldron, to see if we could take Jack under our wing while he completed his apprenticeship. We were happy to help. He started ‘real’ work with us later that year, working on Harold Cohen Library. And, after rave reviews and excellent progress reports from both college and site he won ‘Apprenticeship of the Year 2009’. Jack is now one of our fully qualified joiners and proud to be part of the whole Harry Fairclough family.
