Jeff Smith

Encouraged by his father, Ron, who worked for Harry Fairclough for many, many years as a Site Agent, Jeff took up a bricklaying apprenticeship in the summer of 1978– and is still with us to this day! After serving his time, Jeff continued to work for the company, developing his skills and building up his experience.
Before long, his hard work and determination paid off and he was promoted to Bricklaying Foreman. Then as his site knowledge became more advanced and his training continued, he progressed first to Junior Site Agent, and then to his current position of Site Manager.
Over the last thirty odd years, Jeff has seen a lot of changes in the industry, but says some things still hold true – Harry Fairclough company values are still as strong as they ever were in regards to training and family values; there‘s still great camaraderie amongst the workforce; and plenty of interesting projects to get stuck into!
