This week we say goodbye to our Training and Apprenticeships Co-ordinator and long serving team member Dawn Waldron as she leaves us to enjoy an early retirement and to spend more time with her grandchildren.

Dawn has been a valued and important member of our team for 18 years and in that time has supported dozens of apprentices within our business. She’s seen us grow from being a medium-sized family business to being one of the largest regional contractors in the North of England, nurturing our young talent as they enter the industry and advance into successful construction careers. Several of the apprentices she has worked with have gone on to win industry awards and many keep in touch with Dawn for years, even if they go on to leave our business, which is testament to the value they place on her experience, advice and guidance.

Richard Longfellow, Managing Director at Harry Fairclough comments: “Dawn is one of our longest serving members of staff and has played an important role in developing many of our team members who started their career journey as an apprentice. Dawn will be greatly missed by everyone at Harry Fairclough and her commitment to supporting and nurturing our apprentices is something that we will continue to do and is at the heart of our business. Thank you Dawn and enjoy the well-deserved rest!”
