“I joined Harry Fairclough in 2000 as a joiner after completing an apprenticeship with a previous company. Following the downturn in the late 2000’s, I chose to further my education and returned to Warrington collegiate part time/day release in 2009 to complete a ONC (1 year) and then a HNC in construction (2 years). I then continued my further education by completing a BSC degree in construction management, via distance learning through a university in Ireland (2 years). I am currently an incorporated member of the CIOB (ICIOB) and working towards becoming a fully chartered construction manager (MCIOB).
During my time at the company, I’ve been promoted from a joiner to a foreman and I am currently a site manager running a £1.3m veterinary hospital refurbishment in the North West. Previous projects have included refurbishments and extensions for a variety of clients, including those in the education sector, which is a specialist area for the business. Building a school that provides a learning environments that will be accessed by future generations is a particularly rewarding part of my job.
I enjoy being a part of the Harry Fairclough team as there is a genuine ‘one team’ approach where everyone has the same end goal of ensuring that clients expectations are met and exceeded. Continual personal training and development is encouraged and made available if you wish to access it along with a clear and defined career path.”
